PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the touch and sound absorbing performance in a passenger transporting moving tread having a number of irregular recessed and protruding parts formed thereon along the advancing direction by covering the surface of at least the protruding parts of the irregular recessed and protruding parts with a tread film formed by heating a liquefied powdery resin material. SOLUTION: A passenger transporting moving footstep 1 which endlessly and continuously rotates has moving footboard 1A for carrying a passenger thereon, and a footstep riser 1B for blocking the difference in level between them, and rotating wheels 1C are rotated along a track body 2 in the state connected by an endless chain. The moving footboard 1A has protruding and recessed parts formed of a number of mountains and valleys along the advancing direction, and a tread film about 1 mm or less in thickness and about 5-10 mm in height is formed on the top part. The tread film is formed of a powdery synthetic resin material, and provided by liquefying and adhering it to the protruding part followed by heating to a high temperature, and closely fitting and superposing it to all the protruding parts of the moving footboard 1A by the heat bonding force at this time and the surface tension in the contraction peculiar to the resin material.
