PURPOSE: A steep serrated step filtering apparatus of ellipse driving type is provided to accurately lift and transfer the impurities included in wastewater flowing along a waterway, and to reduce the space of installation thereof. CONSTITUTION: In the case of the steep serrated step filtering apparatus of elliptical driving type, for allowing a moving lattice plate(120) to be rotated along an elliptical orbit, an inclined surface of each lattice tooth slopes over the angle of installation of a screen even when the screen slopes from the ground at an angle of 45 or more degree. Therefore, the impurities included in the wastewater is capable to be accurately lifted and transferred. The apparatus comprises an elliptical driving part(150) and a link part(160). The rotating motion of a driving rotation shaft connected to a power transmission shaft(151) of a driving motor(165) is converted to the horizontal motion of a horizontal motion eccentric shaft and the vertical motion of a vertical motion eccentric shaft to generate the elliptical motion. The link part copies the elliptical motion of the driving part to uniformly move the moving lattice plate, which is coupled to a moving column(145), along the elliptical orbit.
