MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A gradient coil for a magnetic resonance image system and a method of producing the same are provided to reduce an inductance with maintaining the linearity during the formation of gradient magnetic field. CONSTITUTION: The gradient coils for forming a magnetic field are installed at an upper surface(or a lower surface) of the N-pole and a lower surface(or an upper surface) of the S-pole in the C-type yoke, respectively. The gradient coils forms the magnetic field having a size and a direction corresponding to the size and the direction of an electric current applied to the yoke. The gradient coils comprise a plurality of coil group for forming gradient magnetic fields having directions of X,Y,Z. The winding direction of the gradient coil(52x) of X-direction is opposite to the gradient coil(52z) of Z-direction so that the magnetic field formed by the gradient coil(52x) is perpendicular to the magnetic field formed by the gradient coil(52z).
