APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING FLOATING HEIGHT OF MAGNETIC RECORDING/REPRODUCING TAPE

PURPOSE: A lifting height controller of a tape for a VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) is provided to keep a distance between a magnetic head and a tape regular by controlling the lifting height of the tape depending on variable rpm(revolutions per minute) of an upper drum. CONSTITUTION: A blower unit(A) generates and discharges a vortex when an upper drum(5) is rotated. A blower guide(B) guides the wind of the blower unit to a tape(T) wrapped in a lower drum and the upper drum of a rotary head drum(D). The blower unit includes a blower housing having several air intake ports and a discharge port, and plural wind generating plates having a rotatable shaft coaxially fixed in the housing. The blower guide has a body wrapping a part of the rotary head drum and a guide portion(15a) for guiding the wind toward the tape. The lifting height of the tape is controlled by the wind. Therefore, a distance between a magnetic head and the tape is kept regular even when the rpm of the upper drum is 1800rpm or 3600rpm.
