APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL FIBER PREFORM

PURPOSE: An apparatus of manufacturing an optical fiber preform and a method for manufacturing an optical fiber preform using the same are provided to allow to manufacture the optical fiber preform using two kinds of burner having a different shape respectively, thereby reducing a process time and removing a contraction problem of an over cladding tube. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus of manufacturing an optical fiber preform for concentrating an over cladding tube(3) including a preform load, a tip-type of burner(7) is placed outside the over cladding tube to intenerate the surface of the over cladding tube and transfer heat into a perform load(1) uniformly. A Z-type of burner(5) intenerates the over cladding tube included in the preform load with a concentrative flame pressure.
