PURPOSE: A vertical alignment liquid crystal display device comprising a wide visual angle is provided to prevent light leakage around a spacer, reduces operation time and maximize both visual angel and transmissivity. CONSTITUTION: A vertical alignment liquid crystal display device comprising a wide visual angle includes a vertical alignment layer, a liquid crystal, a slit pattern(7) and a floating electrode(30). The vertical alignment layer is coated on upper and lower glass substrates. The liquid crystal(4) has negative dielectric anisotropy and is inserted between the vertical alignment layers. The slit pattern(7) has a slant angle less than 90 deg; and is located at least one position of the two glass substrates. The floating electrode(30) has a slant angle less than 90 deg; and is located at, at least, one position of the two glass substrates. The liquid crystal molecules between adjacent slit patterns have structures of left handed twist and right handed twist. |
