PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the moving mechanism of a moving side optical fiber of a mechanical optical switch and more particularly to miniaturize the optical switch of the case the number of the cores of stationary side optical fibers is small. SOLUTION: The stationary side optical fibers 3 are housed and fixed into plural positioning grooves 22 on a positioning groove base 21. The moving side optical fiber is supported by means of two leaf springs parallel with each other as the moving mechanism 23 for moving the moving side optical fiber 4 and a disk 28 of which the thickness becomes larger toward the leaf spring 25 side by each groove pitch size of the positioning grooves 22 successively in the circumferential direction of the leaf springs is disposed. A pressing member 30 is arranged between the disk 28 and the side faces near the front ends of the leaf springs 25. The disk 28 is rotated by a desired rotating angle by means of a stepping motor 29, by which the front ends of the leaf springs 25 are moved with the pressing member 30 and the moving side optical fiber 4 is moved in the arraying direction of the stationary side optical fibers 3. |
