PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily embody a connector having a short structural length for connecting an optical fiber end to other coupling end advantageously in terms of a cost with a smaller number of parts with ease of production. SOLUTION: The optical fiber end 1 is housed in the state that the fiber end can be coupled by a connector pin 3 inserted into the housing part 33 of the other coupling end 30 in order to connect the optical fiber end 1 to other coupling end. The connector has at least two detaining arms 20 and 21, by which the connector is held in the state that the connector is connected to the other coupling end 30. These detaining arms extend by at least the length thereof in the direction of the front end from the root of the connector pin 3 or otherwise extend along the exposed connector pin 3.
