PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an ISDN terminal and an LAN terminal to share preceding wirings, and to use a communication plug socket arranged as the connection port of the LAN terminal as a communication plug socket for bus connecting plural ISDN terminals. SOLUTION: This connecting unit is provided with a TA side connector 16 and plural cable side connectors 17, and the terminal group of each cable side connector is divided into two groups. This unit is provided with a first connecting means 25 for connecting one terminal group of one cable side connector with the TA side connector and plural second connecting means 26 for connecting one mutual terminal group of the two cable side connectors. The first connecting means is provided with a short-circuiting means 19 for short- circuiting the terminal, which is not used by the ISDN terminal but used by the LAN terminal with the terminal which is not used by the LAN terminal but is used by the ISDN terminal in one-to-one relation.
