PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change setting of a plurality of setting items to an electronic device. SOLUTION: In the case of executing a fade function of a camcorder, four setting items as 'fade ON/OFF', 'fade type', 'back color' and 'fade time' to which priority is placed by means of a cursor are provided, and each item has respectively a plurality of setting sub items. For example, in the case of selecting 'fade IN' in the 'fade ON/OFF', that has the highest priority, 'mosaic' in the 'fade type', 'blue' in the 'back color', and '6 sec' of the 'fade time' are respectively and automatically set. In the case of revising the sub items in the 'fade type' with the 2nd ranking, the sub items in the 'back color' and the 'fade time' with the 3rd ranking or below are changed as specified.
