A needle park and method of use of same, wherein a two-point contact (130), cantilevered member and opposite post member (119) are provided to hold a needle (160) between them. The post member (119) being slit (150) partially, such as perpendicular or parallel to the base on which the park sits. Such a slit (150) allows the post member (119) to partially collapse when a needle (160) is inserted, allowing a greater variety of needle diameters to be used. Any curved needle (160) is inserted in the separation (117) between the members so that the needle (160) curves around the post member (119) and away from the two-point contact member (130).
