PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a data display method for an electronic musical instrument in which the data of an upper priority unit are handled by a lower priority unit even though various specification differences exist between these units and a user of the lower priority unit recognizes through a display that the data being used by him are effective data of the upper priority unit. SOLUTION: Upper and lower priority units having differences in their hardware specification are used in an electronic musical instrument. Regardless of the hardware specification differences, sound generation processes are conducted based on all parameters used in the instrument and the settings of these parameters can be changed. When setting change of the parameters is performed, the objective displaying of the parameters is done in a gray color, for example, by changing the display mode in the case of the parameter which is invalid to be set in the electronic musical instrument due to the specification differences of the hardware. |
