PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for recording data on a recording disk where fragmentation is suppressed regardless of the number of files even when video data are written on the recording disk. SOLUTION: In the case of writing video data to a video data file of a hard disk 1 connected to a computer with an SCSI host bus adaptor, dummy data D1-D3 are written in a plurality of video data files of the hard disk 1 before opening the video data file. Then the file pointers of a plurality of the video data files are set to an address to a location before the dummy data D1-D3 are written, and video data written on a tape of a video recorder are written in a plurality of the video data files through an SDI 23, a CODEC board 13, a PCI bus 12, an SCSI host bus adaptor 14A, and an ultra-wide SCSI bus 20.
