The invention relates to a device for applying top film onto a cargo comprising palleted stacks of objects. The invention is characterised in that the device comprises a conveyance mechanism configured for being conveyed across the top of a still cargo while simultaneously unrolling film from a film roll; and a device for cutting off the film transversally to the unrolling direction following unrolling of the film.
