摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a storage time and to shorten an entire range-finding time by making a rate to change the storage time by deciding reflected light from a measuring object at the time of automatic gain control larger than a rate to shorten the storage time by deciding only the quantity of external light at the time of external light saturation control. SOLUTION: When the quantity of external light component is larger than a 1st specified value (S204), the opening time of an electronic shutter is set to 1/2 in order to shorten the storage time requried for storage once by considering that output from a skim CCD sensor is saturated by the external light component (S205). When the quantity of reflected light component from the measuring object is larger than a 2nd specified value (S207), the opening time of the electronic shutter is set to 1/4 in order to shorten the storage time required for storage once by considering that the output from the skim CCD sensor is saturated by the reflected light component from the measuring object (S208). Such operation is repeated unitl the output from the skim CCD sensor is not saturated, and the storage time of the sensor is set to an appropriate value.
