PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the superior silver halide color photographic sensitive material enhanced in sensitivity to graininess relation. SOLUTION: This silver halide color photographic sensitive material is formed by coating a substrate with photographic constituent layers including at least one photographic sensitive layer containing photosensitive silver halide and a developing agent and a compound for forming a dye by coupling reaction with the oxidation product of the developing agent and a binder, and at least one of the photographic sensitive layers contains the silver halide emulsion containing flat silver halide grains and each flat grain has a (111) principal face and an average corresponding circle diameter of at least 0.70μm and average grain thickness of <=0.20μm, and this emulsion contains gelatin and a natural polymer polysaccharide derived from red algae in an amount of 0.1-5 weight % of the gelatin.
