PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To very the size of an object according to the size of document data by determining the size of the object according to a size determined by a range size determining means and size information stored in a storage means. SOLUTION: A document output property processing part 21 designates a desired document file 26 and finds its page to be outputted, the range of an object to be outputted, and output magnification. A layout processing part 34 reads in layout information on respective objects of the designated document file 26 from the document file 26. A function processing part 37 finds the output size of an object for the output magnification of the document according to the function defined for the object. An object drawing processing part 35 reads in the contents of the object from the document file 26 and draws the object to the found output size, i.e., the output size based upon the function when the function is defined or the output size based upon the output magnification when not.
