PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle receiver with which an optimum noise canceller effect can be obtained according to a noise level. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle receiver is provided with a noise detection circuit 4 that detects a noise from an IF output from a tuner 2, a waveform processing circuit 5 that eliminates noise by muting a gate pulse at a time zone during the time zone the noise occurs place, and a control circuit 12 that varies a detection level of the level detection circuit 4 in response to the level of electric field strength outputted from the tuner 2 and varies the gate pulse width of the waveform processing circuit 5 so as to obtain an optimum noise canceller effect in response to the detected noise level.
