Then the projection type liquid crystal display device which constitutes a large-size projection device comprises a nearly parallel light irradiation means 41, a liquid crystal panel which has a driver IC or the like arranged at the periphery of a liquid crystal pixel part in a frame shape and convex lens arrays (1st lens array), convex lens arrays (2nd lens array), a Fresnel concave lens and a screen which are used as the erect image forming means.
