PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To play a musical waveform which is natural and easy to ride by generating a cycle signal which varies in waveform shape with time and transmitting the cycle signal as a control signal to a compressing and expanding means. SOLUTION: A cycle signal generating means 30 is provided with a waveform table 31, a table selecting means 32, a sequence data storage means 33, a control means 34, an interpolating means 35, a multiplying means 36, an adding means 37, an error correcting means 38, etc. Here, a continuous musical sound waveform is stored in the waveform table 31 as a cycle waveform storage means. Then the compressing and expanding means indicates the level of compression and expansion. While temporal variation follows up allowed variation of a control signal, the musical sound waveform is compressed or expanded to generate a reproduced waveform. Then the cycle signal generating means 30 generates the cycle signal which varies in waveform shape with time and transmits the cycle signal as the control signal to the compressing and expanding means. Consequently, a musical performance which is easy to ride can be given. |
