PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an analog full-color LCD operate at high speed and to reduce the power consumption of the LCD. SOLUTION: The data inputted from the central part of a driver IC are inputted to data lines divided in left and right directions via a switch SW4. When a start pulse is inputted to the SR1 of a shift register, thereafter, it is made to be successively outputted from SR1, SR2, SR3,... as a shift pulse. When shift registers SR1 to SRn/2 are operating, a data line A is selected by the switch S4 and when shift registers SRn/2 to SRn are operating, a data line B is selected by the switch. An analog signal is sampled and held by shift pulses RO1 to ROn to be generated by the shift registers and data lines of a liquid crystal display panel are driven with these voltage values, When the shift pulse is swept out from the SRn, the state of the SW4 becomes an open state.
