PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition which has good storage stability and good writing property and has good bleeding resistance for the handwritings of oily inks, when letters, or the like, are written on the handwriting of the oily ink to cover the handwritings by using a specific binder, a specific thickener, and the like. SOLUTION: This highly concealing aqueous ink composition comprises at least (A) titanium dioxide, (B) a binder, (C) a solvent, and (D) a thickener. Therein, the component B is a cationic binder, and the component D is polyethylene oxide. (E) A solid acid such as acid white clay is further preferably used. The components A, B, C, D and E are preferably used in amounts of about 15-80 wt.%, about 2-20 wt.%, about 20-70 wt.% as methyl alcohol, or the like, about 0.1-20 wt.%, and about 1-40 wt.%, respectively, and are preferably mixed and dispersed by using a stirring and dispersing machine such as a ball mill.
