PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized thin-type closing device of a hinged door which dispenses with an operation for cancellation after cease of an earthquake and can prevent surely the hinged door from opening during the earthquake. SOLUTION: A locking body 38 is so provided in an opening 36 as to be movable upward in a state wherein a flange part 38b larger in size than the opening 36 is positioned inside a case 33 fitted to the main body 31 of a holding unit, while a spherical body 37 is held in each space 34 for movement in the case 33, and the spherical body 37 is held between the flange part 38b and a cover 39, with a quake, so that the locking body 38 be prevented from moving upward. An engaging part 42 is formed in the fore end of a support 41 on the hinged door 32 side, and an elastic piece 43 of which the force end side forming an ascending slant 43a has an upward force of elasticity surpassing the weight of the locking body 38 is formed integrally with the support 41 on this side of the engaging part 42 thereof. At the time of an earthquake, at least one spherical body 37 gets on the top of the flange part 38b to prevent the upward movement of the locking body 38 and this body depresses the elastic piece 43 to make it lockable with the engaging part 42. Thereby, the hinged door 32 is controlled to open a little.
