PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize more appropriate extinguishing by an arrangement wherein fuel supply to a fuel regulating means is not interrupted immediately but reduced gradually when combustion is interrupted. SOLUTION: Output phase timing at the output port of a control section is controlled from a fan motor to decrease air supply slightly earlier (S1). Upon elapsing a specified time (S2), output phase timing at the output port of the control section is controlled to decrease the capacity of a solenoid pump gradually (S3). After decreasing the capacity gradually for a short time (S4), output at the output port of the control section is controlled to stop the solenoid pump (S5) and post-purge operation is performed by rotating only the fan motor for a specified time (S6). Consequently, combustion gas in the combustion chamber is exhausted and the inner temperature thereof is lowered before stopping the fan motor (S7) and ending soft extinguishing operation. Soft extinguishing can be realized by decreasing fuel gradually for a specified time after starting extinguishments and then interrupting fuel supply immediately.
