PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an opposed twin-screw type sludge dehydrator generating no clogging. SOLUTION: A left-hand screw body 1 and a right-and screw body 2 are parallelly provided on shafts in an almost parallel or slightly inclined state so as to be rotated in mutually opposite directions and spirals 5 and 6 are provided on the outer peripheral surfaces of the left-hand and right-hand screw bodies 1, 2 in a mutually opposite direction so that the intervals between them become narrow toward the ends of the screw bodies and the trough parts 7, 8 are formed between the spirals 5, 6 and one spirals 5 are engaged with other trough parts 8 while the other spirals 6 are engaged with one trough parts 7 and the thicknesses of the spirals 5 and 6 are almost same to the widths of the troughs 7 and 8 so as to engage the spirals with the trough parts without almost generating a gap and receiving troughs 9, 10 are provided under the left-hand and right-hand screw bodies 1, 2 so as to surround the lower halves of both screw bodies and a discharge part 13 is provided on the end side of the receiving troughs 9 and 10.
