CATALYST FOR CLEANING EXHAUST GAS, ITS PRODUCTION AND METHOD FOR CLEANING EXHAUST GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the sulfur poisoning of an NOx occlusion material and to enhance durability. SOLUTION: This catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas has a support containing at least titania particles and another porous oxide. The titania particles in the support are ultrafine particles having <50 nm particle diameter. Since the ultrafine particulate titania particles are used, interfaces with the another porous oxide are extremely increased, and since SOx is hardly adsorbed on the porous oxide such as alumina at the interfaces, the sulfur poisoning of an NOx occlusion material present on the interfaces is prevented.
