<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting method of strip-like metal sheets which is capable of preventing damages to the strip-like metal sheets attributable to the connection thereof, and improving the treatment efficiency of the strip-like metal sheets. SOLUTION: A preceding sheet B1 is connected to a succeeding sheet B2 by interposing a metal plate CB for connection thicker than the wide succeeding sheet B2 therebetween, butt-welding the preceding sheet B1 to the metal plate CB for connection, and butt-welding the metal plate CB for connection to the succeeding sheet B2. A connected portion of the metal plate CB for connection to the succeeding sheet B2 is substantially same in width. This means, the width between the preceding sheet B1 and the succeeding sheet B2 is changed at the metal plate CB for connection, while no width is changed between the metal plate CB for connection and the succeeding sheet B2. Thus, when the proceding sheet B1 and the succeeding sheet B2 which are connected to each other by interposing the metal plate CB for connection are conveyed by a conveying mechanism, no stress so large as to damage the succeeding sheet B2 is exerted in the wide succeeding sheet B2.</p> |
