PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate device which can prevent a ground subsidence due to the formation of a borehole in a non-open-cut pipe laying method. SOLUTION: This gate device includes a hollow casing 11A, an openable shutter part 11C which is attached to an opening on the side of a wall surface of the casing 11A to tightly close an opening of a borehole when a rod is sealingly and slidably supported, a seal plate 11B1 for the rod which sealingly and slidably supports the rod detachably mounted to an opening in opposition to the casing, a seal plate for a steel pipe which is releasably attached to the opening in opposition to the casing to sealingly and slidably support the double steel pipe, a hollow cylinder 11D erected on the ceiling of the casing, and an open/closure part 11E attached to the bottom of the casing.
