PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of the compression efficiency of a compressor as a result of quantities of high pressure discharge refrigerant gas leaking through the thrust support surface of a moving scroll into a suction chamber. SOLUTION: In a scroll type compressor, a communication hole 7f piercing through an end plate part of a moving scroll is provided to intercommunicate a pocket 7e for a back pressure provided on the back surface of the end plate part 7a of the moving scroll and an operating chamber 11, and a check valve to block leakage of a refrigerant from a pocket for a back pressure to the operating chamber is provided in the communication hole. Further, the communication hole is communicated with a operating chamber in a position where a refrigerant in the middle of compression is introduced in the pocket for a back pressure.
