PRODUCTION OF FIBER SPLITTABLE INTO PLURAL SEGMENTS AND YARN OR FIBER AND WOVEN FABRIC PRODUCED BY THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a fiber readily separable into plural segments. SOLUTION: This fiber separable into plural segments is produced by extruding or spinning a thermoplastic polymer or a thermoplastic polymer solution. In this case, one or more polymeric materials 1 and 1' are introduced into one nozzle 2 having openings On and Om mutually isolated and placed and arranged so as to form one or more groups and the polymeric materials 1 and 1' are extruded through the openings On and Om to thereby form one or more sets of two basic segments 3 and 3'. Furthermore, the basic segments 3 and 3' jetted from the mutually different openings On and Om of each group are integrated by tacky adhesion with restricted mutual combined weaving or in the absence of the mutual combined weaving. Thereby, a fiber 4 having a cross section splittable into the plural segments 3 and 3' for each group and the finally obtained fiber 4 is drawn and set before carrying out the subsequent processing and/or treatment.
