PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a paper tray for displaying a cosmetic container which can be easily formed at low cost without using synthetic resin materials. SOLUTION: In a method for forming a paper tray 20 wherein after two paper patterns are folded, both the patterns are made integral to each other, a side panel portion 3 of one of the flat patterns is turned up at right angles with respect to the base panel portion 2 thereof, while the base panel portion is turned up at right angles with respect to the portion 2 to form a vertical panel portion 5. The portion 5 is turned back to form a horizontal panel portion 6, and the portion 6 is turned down into an inclined panel portion 7. The other flat pattern is folded to form a central adhesive panel portion 8, which portion 8 is fixed to the inclined panel portion 7, while both side adhesive panel portions 10 are fixed to the vertical panel portion 5.
