PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable, strong and inexpensive vanity case whose lid is arranged in the lower part of base on the opening position by installing the lid to the base so that it is arranged in the lower part of the base on the opening position and installing the lid to a link material jointed to the base as capable of sliding. SOLUTION: A link material 7 consists of a nearly U-shaped material. Holes 11, 12, which are arranged as facing to one or more hole 5 of the base 2, penetrate around the free ends of U-shaped two branch parts 8, 9. Inserting a bar 6 into these holes 5, 11, 12, the link material 7 is installed to the base like a joint. A lid 20 bas a section corresponding to the section of base 2. The lid 20 is arranged between the base 2 and the surface of U-shaped base wall 35, which is formed by the link material 7, so that the lid 20 is able to cover the entire base 2 on the closing position and to demarcate closed space with the base 2. The lid 20 on the opening position is arranged in the lower part of base 2 of the case.
