POLYURETHANE ELASTIC FIBER NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION AND SYNTHETIC LEATHER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric having high stretch performance and high tear strength as well, to provide a method for producing the nonwoven fabric, and to obtain a synthetic leather using the nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: This polyurethane elastic fiber nonwoven fabric wherein polyurethane-based elastic fiber filaments are mutually fused and bonded is obtained by the following process: a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer >=92 in Shore A hardness is dehydrated to a moisture content of <=150 ppm, and then put to melt spinning and issued through being accompanied by a high-speed air stream and subsequently accumulated in a sheet form at a temperature >=35 deg.C lower than the Vicat softening temperature of the elastomer. The aimed nonwoven fabric thus obtained has a tensile elongation of >=100%, elastic recovery at 50% elongation of >=75%, and >=5.5 gf in tear strength per basis weight.
