PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid cosmetic having excellent precipitation stability with time, easily redispersible by stirring and held in a liquid cosmetic applicator by including a pearlescent pigment and an anionic polymer compound. SOLUTION: The objective liquid cosmetic having a non-Newtonian viscosity index (n) of 0.16<=n<=0.28 and a viscosity (mpa.S) of 1,500-5,000 at a shearing rate (s-1) of 3.83, 500-1,500 at a shearing rate of 19.20, 300-700 at a shearing rate of 38.30, 150-400 at a shearing rate of 76.80 and 50-100 at a shearing rate of 383.00 is produced by including (A) 5-25 wt.%; pearlescent pigment containing at least mica or titanium mica or their surface-treated product and principally composed of inorganic materials and (B) 0.2-2.0 wt.% anionic polymer compound (preferably xanthan gum). The component A is preferably surface-treated with an iron oxide.
