<p>The packing may be of cardboard or other suitable material and is essentially made from one sheet which is cut out and folded into shape. The board has a number of louvre openings cut into it. The pitch of the louvres corresponds to the diameter of the bottles. The louvres are cut over half the length of the board, so that it can be folded over to give a double thickness to the base. The louvres (5) are then folded to remain at right angles to the base and upright and so form the partitions between bottles. The louvres have finger holes to facilitate assembly and the ends of the board are joined by a fold at (13). The lower ends of the louvres become locked in the openings in the second half of the board.</p> |
