PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inspecting apparatus for printed boards which can easily recognize a specific inspection probe supported to a pin board and can simply uniform a set height of inspection probes without requiring a special tool. SOLUTION: The inspecting apparatus has inspection probes 1 whose pins 2 set to leading end parts can be projected forward and rearward by coil springs 5. The inspection probes are pressed in and supported to a pin board 9 via sockets 6. Leading end parts of the pins 2 are brought in contact with terminal parts of mounted parts of a printed board 13, whereby the parts are inspected. A ring 15 is inserted and supported to the socket 6 of the inspection probe 1, which is colored. The color is agreed with a color code number to display the last one figure of a pin number of the inspection probe 1. Moreover, the ring 15 is positioned to a face of the pin board 9 and can accordingly function to determine a height from on the face of the pin board 9 to the leading end part of the pin 2 of the inspection probe 1.
