PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level shift circuit whose duty factor can be adjusted to 50% in compliance with a high voltage/high frequency specification. SOLUTION: The level shift circuit is provided with a timing adjustment circuit 3 that adjusts the timing of an output signal of a 1st level shift circuit 1, and the duty factor of an output signal from a 2nd level shift circuit 2 is adjusted to 50% by applying an output signal of the timing adjustment circuit 3 to the 2nd level shift circuit 2. Thus, the duty factor of the level shift circuit is adjusted to 50% and the level shift circuit can deal with a high voltage/high frequency signal. This level shift circuit is especially suitable for a level shift circuit for a plasma display device.
