PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly reduce the height of a luminaire from the ceiling face by providing a plug electrically and mechanically connected to a wiring duct, an arm provided on the lower end and nearly horizontally projecting, and a lamp body arranged on the projecting end part of the arm through a hinge. SOLUTION: A plug 1 is electrically and mechanically connected to a wiring duct 4, and an arm 2 is provided on the lower end of the plug 1 and nearly horizontally projected from the plug 1. A lamp body 3 is arranged on the projecting end part of the arm 2 through a hinge 6. The lamp body 3 is mounted with a lamp 7 on the extreme end part, the hinge 6 is connected to the rear end part of the lamp body 3, and the rotational range of the hinge 6 is regulated so that the light irradiation range of the lamp body 3 gets out of a ceiling face 5. Regulation of the rotational movement range is attained by a stopper 8 provided on the lamp body 3. By detaching the hinge 6 from just under the plug 1, providing the lamp body 3 on the projecting end part of the arm 3, so that the lamp 7 as a heat source is not positioned on the lower end of the plug 1, the L-dimension can be lowered.
