PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material and its processing method ultrahigh in contrast and small in fluctuation of sensitivity and increase of fog even after running operation and having similar characteristics even in the case of rapid development using a developing solution composed essentially of ascorbic acid (developer prepared from a solid treating agent). SOLUTION: The photosensitive material contains at least one kind of an inhibitor having an N-containing heterocyclic group in a backing layer and, preferably, at least one kind of hydrazine derivative and amine compound or a quarternary onium compound on the side of a photosensitive layer. The above inhibitor is an optionally substituted benzotriazole compound.
