In a CDMA mobile communication system, a mobile station transmits, when a call connection request occurs, a CDMA burst signal to a base station by random access. The base station detects a despreading timing based on the value of correlation between the CDMA burst signal and a reference code, and delays the CDMA burst signal by the time required to detect the timing. When the despreading timing is detected, the base station despreads the frequency band of the second half of the CDMA burst signal, and parallel to this despreading, despreads the frequency band of the first half of the delayed CDMA burst signal. As a result, the demodulating time is shortened compared to the sequential despreading of from the first to last part of the CDMA burst signal.
|
