PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an information signal of a main track reducing cross talk due to an adjacent track in real-time by containing a photodetecting means division light receiving an incident beam from a recording medium to a central part and a side part for the radial direction of the recording medium and an operation part operating the detection signal of the central part of the incident beam from the photodetecting means and the detection signal of the side part. SOLUTION: A photodetector 18 contains a main light receiving part A light receiving the central part of the incident beam and sub-light receiving parts B, C light receiving the incident beam of the side part. The operation part 20 adds up the detection signals from the sub-light receiving parts B, C with a first adder 21, and multiplies the output of the first adder 21 by an operation constant K with a multiplier 23. Then, the operation part 20 adds up the detection signal of the main light receiving part A to the output of the multiplier 23 with a second adder 25. The operation constant K is the constant minimizing the cross talk due to the adjacent track incorporated in the information signal outputted from the second adder 25. Thus, the operation part 20 outputs an RF signal reducing the cross talk due to the adjacent track.
