PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-frequency light source wherein a problem of removing needless light at an optical frequency successive conversion circuit such as optical ring circuit is settled. SOLUTION: An optical ring circuit comprises a fiber coupler 4, optical isolator 5, optical circulator 6, wavelength variable laser (distributed reflection type laser) 7, acoustic-optical light frequency shifter 8, optical delay line 9, polarization controller 10, and optical fiber connecting them, and the light emitted from a frequency reference light source 1 is taken out and used as a reference optical pulse light, which is guided into an optical ring circuit through the fiber coupler 4, and then injected for synchronization into the wavelength variable laser 7 through the optical circulator 6, for action as a filter. |
