PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reproduce prepits of each track by reducing the effect of the crosstalk from the prepits of adjacent tracks. SOLUTION: The preformat information is preliminarily formed on the information recording medium as the prepit. In the prepits of adjacent track 0 and track 1, blank data are arranged respectively right after the CRC(cyclic redundancy check) code of the track 0 and right before the CRC code of the track 1 so as not to be adjacent to each other. The signal leakage (crosstalk) from the adjacent tracks is thereby reduced. Further, since the blank data are provided with almost the same length as that of the CRC code, the recording capacity is substantially not impaired. Also, the crosstalk of the track data is reduced by making the Gray code conversion for the track data.
