PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment with which convenience can be improved. SOLUTION: A control circuit allows a sounder to ring (a step S2) at the time of call reception, and increases the volume level of the sounder (a step S6) after the elapse of a prescribed time since the first ringing of the sounder (YES in step S5). Therefore, a user at the receiving side can easily recognize the incoming call even when the user houses a portable telephone device in a bag, or the user is present in a place such as a construction site where a noise is large. Also, the user can easily respond to the incoming call because the user can easily recognize the incoming call, and it is made unnecessary for a caller to re-call several times. Thus, convenience can be improved at both the receiving side and the calling side.
