<p>Apparatus (10) for supporting and providing a sealable connection to an elongated flow-through cartridge (26), the apparatus (10) including cartridge receiving structure (12) for supporting a replaceable cartridge (26) in a predetermined position, cartridge sealing structure (14) mounted with respect to the cartridge receiving structure (12) to be movable into an end of the cartridge (26) to engage the cartridge (26) at a flow structure in the cartridge (26), the location of the flow structure in the cartridge (26) being variable, and a drive mechanism (22) that automatically advances the cartridge sealing structure (14) to seal to the cartridge (26) at the proper location with respect to the flow structure.</p> |
