PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the cause of the abnormal voltage of a network for each repeater, to expand the operating range of the network corresponding to each cause and to facilitate restoration from the state of a fault. SOLUTION: The repeater 1 constituting the network by connecting a power feed line 5 and a signal line 4 is provided with a voltage level detecting means 31 detecting the voltage of the line 5 to compare with a previously set threshold value, a power feed line separating switch 32 for separating a power feed line on a downstream side, an equipment fault detecting means 21 for detecting the fault of connected equipment 2, an equipment state signal line 6 informing each repeater in the network of the fault of the equipment 2, an equipment separating switch 22 for separating the equipment 2, an equipment switch control part 23 for actuating the switch 22 when the equipment 22 is broken, and a power feed switch control part 33 actuating the switch 32 when the voltage of the detected power feed line is equal to or lower than a threshold value and there is no fault of the equipment within the network.
