<p>Itchiness-relieving agents characterized by containing, as the active ingredient, compounds having a chymase inhibitory effect. As the compounds having a chymase inhibitory effect, use can be made of, for example, compounds represented by general formula (1): wherein each symbol is as defined in the description. These itchiness-relieving agents are applicable to allergic itchiness and non-allergic itchiness (for example, itchiness in which chymase participates, atopic dermatitis, eczema, urticaria, prurigo, insect bite, bedsore, xeroderma, etc.). They are particularly efficacious as preventives and remedies for atopic dermatitis. Combined use of these itchiness-relieving agents with steroids makes it possible to enhance the scratching regulatory effect of the steroids, thus enabling reduction of the administration dose of the steroids.</p> |
