PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an electric rolling stock to stop by only operating an electric brake until the speed of the rolling stock becomes zero. SOLUTION: A controller for electric rolling stock which is constituted to vector-control an induction motor 1 for driving an electric rolling stock by means of a power converter 2 is provided with a stop torque pattern generator 6 which finds the stop time until the rolling stock stops at a prescribed stop location by calculating the deceleration, run resistance, and run speed of the stock at the moment the generator 6 receives a fixed-point passing signal, calculates the deceleration required to stop the stock at the stop position within the stop time and the stop torque pattern for realizing the above-mentioned deceleration, and commands the stop torque pattern to the power converter 2. |
