PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a base film from being slackened and curved so as to keep a paste layer uniform in thickness by a method, wherein energizing pieces are engaged with engaging holes provided to a base film along its side edge so as to hold the base film on the carrier keeping it always under high tension. SOLUTION: A carrier A1 is provided with a large number of rectangular holes, which are arranged at a prescribed interval on its lengthwise center line and also with a large number of energizing pieces B, which are arranged at a prescribe interval along both its side edges and located on both sides of each rectangular hole. A base film C is formed of a flexible polyimide resin material and provided with a large number of engaging holes 2, which are arranged at a prescribe interval along both its lengthwise side edges. The hooks 3 of the energizing pieces B of the carrier A1 are each engaged with the engaging holes 2 of the base film C, by which the base film C is preliminarily fixed on the carrier A1 being kept under high tension.
