PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent color mixture due to toner by recovering residual toner of each color on an image carrier by the use of a cleaning means which differs according to each color, and recycling them. SOLUTION: A developer recovery pipe 41 branches into four at some mid point in it via a four-way selector valve 56, and they are connected, via respective pipes 35Y, 35M, 35C and 35BK, to the inlets of separators 51Y, 51M, 51C and 51BK which separate toner and carrier. After being separated into four colors, the toner is returned to developer chambers 2Y, 2M, 2C and 2BK and supplied for development again. After collected in one, the carrier is returned to developer chambers 2Y, 2M, 2C and 2BK and supplied for development again. In this way, toner can be recycled in each color in an image forming device. Also, containers 52 and 54 can be replaced together with the contents by the detachment of connectors in the case of the deterioration of the toner and carrier stored in them. |
